It was a beautiful day to travel to a new land. Queen Chrysalis leaded her anthro-pony changlings from place to place to place searching food, during those travels there was little food. It was like all the creatures with consciousness had upped and vanished. The only creatures around were animals that have never little emotion if any at all.

Queen Chrysalis had to ration out the food in order to keep changlings alive. At least, until they could find food. She wonder how long it has been since the ponies had chased them away and left them to die. The thought made her blood boil with rage. She wanted ravage, but, her changlings needed her more than anything now. Besides going back to fight the ponies would have been a death wish. Queen Chrysalis couldn’t bear the thought of her changlings dying in a fruitless battle, one she knows can’t be won. In fact, that is the thing that scares her most. They dying all around her.

The army stop at a ruined village that had been abandon. Chrysalis looked around at the ruins. The village seems to have been die for years at least a hundred years or so because the forest already reclaimed the area. There would be no food here. She watched as her changlings settled in a hunger night’s sleep. The queen turned her eyes to sky and raised a hand to the moon. The inky sky looked beautiful with only the moon. Chrysalis laid down looking up. The soft grass holding her like a mother would a child. It was peaceful if not for hunger she and her changlings would live here forever. Her eye lids started to become heavy as sleep readied to claim her for the night.

The next morning, the changling army moved on. They were in the mountains now. Cold wind rustled Chrysalis’s mane as she walked until the sound of someone falling into the snow caught her attention. Three of her warriors had fallen to the ground. The queen rushed over them. When she neared them it was already too late, death had already claim them as its own. The queen could no longer stand it anymore the subjects here dropped like flies. Now, she let her emotions go and cried and cried her changlings her children dying one by one. She cursed the ponies by saying “Spineless! Stupid! Silly sacks of flesh! One day my changlings we will in slave them and eat like kings!” she waited for her changlings to roar at the thought of ravage. But, none of them did, they were starting to give up. Chrysalis looked down at the three die changlings their eyes wide open as to see their queen one last time. She closed their as if to tell them to rest.

Queen Chrysalis led the march once more. The mountains were full of danger, not creature or animals, but the landscape itself. Freezing cold wind, terrible blizzards, sharp jutting rocks, ice, freeze cracked lakes and freezing water. It took them four days to traverse the peeks before making it to grassy land again. It was then they saw a large wall in the distance. Her heart jumped in to the queen’s throat before calling out to her changlings “My children, we are close to a new feeding ground!” Her subjects roared in hope. Finally, a place to call home, but, in the back of her mind something said “leave here something isn’t right.” She ignore it and led the army onward. She still had most of her changlings, so, they could handle whatever was over the wall. Chrysalis thinks it maybe a small village or city because the wall is too large to go far.

The army setup camp a day’s trek away. Queen Chrysalis heard her changlings chatting on about the creatures beyond the wall if she was right a city is theirs. That night no one could sleep.

The next morning, they flew over the wall only to find open land. Chrysalis looked around she could see the wall stretched for miles. The walls were so long she couldn’t see the end. She ran forward for a day before with the army right behind her. The night fell again and Chrysalis cried herself to sleep that night and in the morning she and her children moved on. Depressive choking them they moved by instinct now, thinking wasted too much energy.  As time passed, until the day came in which a nightmare came true.

It was the middle of a rainy day and chrysalis heard rustling in the wood, then a tall 15-meter creature on two legs came rushing out grabbed a group changlings a few managed to escape. As for the ones still in the creature’s hands, were eaten. Chrysalis rush at the creature horn ablaze with a toxic green aura. She fired a green bolt of lightning at to cut off the left arm. As she stare at it she watched the monster’s arm grow back quickly. She was stunned until it leaped out at her, she dodged it. It is than Chrysalis heard the cries of her changlings. More of the creatures start running out of the wood too many to count she watched in horror as one by one her children were being eaten. She rushed in to the mess her mind acting on instinct. A mother instinct. An instinct to protect one’s young. She fought hard cutting off arms, legs and even head, but, they kept getting back up. She kept fighting until here was nothing left to fight for. After the realization sank in. She flow up into the sky screaming and crying all the way to the moment she lost consciousness and fell from the sky. She couldn’t see. She couldn’t move. All she could do was hear and feel the touch of another. As Chrysalis fell she feel someone rush up and catch her. She could hear talking, but, fell into darkness before understand anything.
